What is the ruling on taking expensive platinum screws from the body of a deceased person, and is it permissible to return them to his family or give them as charity if a person takes them from the grave when burying another deceased person?

The jurists differed on the issue of incising the abdomen of a deceased person to extract money swallowed before death. The Hanbalis and one view among the Shafi'is held that incision is not permissible, citing that the money was consumed during the person's lifetime. Conversely, the Malikis and another view among the Shafi'is permitted incising the abdomen to extract the money, especially if it was substantial and valuable, to preserve the wealth for the heirs. Ibn Qudamah favored differentiating between a small and large amount of money, stating that the latter necessitates incision to prevent the loss of wealth and benefit the heirs. Accordingly, there is no harm in taking the platinum screws if they are valuable, and the man must return the money to the deceased's heirs if it belonged to him.
