How does a servant repent from his sin, what are the signs of accepted repentance, and does saying "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi" a hundred times erase a hundred sins, and which sins are erased?

Allah has legislated repentance and encouraged it. Correct repentance has five conditions: sincerity, abstaining from the sin, regret, firm resolve not to return to it, and that it be before the death rattle (ghargara). If the sin relates to the rights of people, then in addition to the five conditions, the right must be returned or forgiveness sought from the wronged person. After repentance, the servant's state should be between hoping for the acceptance of repentance and fearing punishment. Among the signs of sincere repentance are: the servant's feeling of remorse for their shortcoming in fulfilling Allah's rights, avoiding sins and their causes, inclining towards turning to their Lord, and feeling the blessing of being guided to repentance. Good deeds expiate minor sins, but for major sins and the rights of people, repentance and the restitution of rights are necessary.
