What is the ruling on lighting a fire in the house of the deceased's family during the first three days after death?

This is an innovated Bid‘ah (religious innovation) that must be rejected and denounced, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever innovates into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it is to be rejected," and "Whoever performs an action which is not in accordance with our matter, it is to be rejected." A Muslim must beware of innovation and change what is denounced.
