And is it permissible to use every cream that contains a small percentage of alcohol?

The fatwa-based ruling is that alcohol is impure, and it is impermissible to use products that contain it, except out of necessity. However, if alcohol transforms into another substance, differing from it in its properties and reality, such that no trace of the original alcohol remains, then it becomes permissible to use products containing it.
