What is Islam's position on the name "Yahweh" in the Torah, and is it one of the names of God?

The name "Yahweh" is known as the name of God Almighty among the Jews, and it has been mentioned in the Old Testament more than six thousand times. However, Jews do not utter it, and some may see it as derived from Hebrew or Arabic.

As for what the People of the Book tell us, which is not confirmed or denied in our sacred law, we reserve judgment on it; we neither believe them nor disbelieve them. This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Do not believe the People of the Book, nor disbelieve them, but say: 'We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us.'"

Therefore, we do not affirm the name "Yahweh" for Allah Almighty, as it has only appeared in Jewish scriptures.
