Is it permissible to pay the fees for transferring land ownership with mixed money – some of which is from bank interest and some from private funds – and what should we do if we encounter a problem that requires paying money as a ransom, and is it permissible to consider this money paid as a disbursement of bank interest?

It is not permissible to benefit from haram (forbidden) interest in paying an unjust tax or returning something to an usurper, because that would benefit the payer and protect his money. Rather, one must dispose of it by spending it on the poor and needy, or by using it for the benefit of Muslims. The amount of haram interest that was paid as part of the land price must be extracted and disposed of, and it is not permissible to count it towards what is paid to ward off injustice from the brother.
