Is it permissible to take a mother suffering from cancer for 'Umrah instead of her chemotherapy treatment?

It is not permissible to abandon treatment if it leads to destruction, for Allah Almighty says: "And do not kill yourselves" and "And do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction." It is forbidden to delay treatment if it leads to the worsening of the disease. However, if the disease is incurable, there is no harm in abandoning treatment and spending money on Umrah. It is recommended to seek healing with Zamzam water, for it is a cure.
