What is the ruling on working in a printing press that prints plastic bags for stores, given that these bags have pictures of women on them, some of whom may be immodestly dressed, and also contain names of God, such as "Abd Al-Rahman" and "Abdullah," knowing that these bags are discarded and stepped upon?

It is permissible to work in the manufacture and printing of plastic bags, unless the work involves something forbidden, such as writing the name of Allah the Almighty on them, because this exposes them to desecration; or drawing animate beings on them, due to the general evidence prohibiting the drawing of animate beings. The prohibition becomes more severe if they are bags that display women's allurements.

Therefore, one should not work in the manufacture of such bags if they include anything forbidden.
