How do we interpret the reality that contradicts the noble verse: (And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way over the believers), and what steps must be taken to actualize this verse in our lives, especially after it became clear that what was attributed to Umar ibn al-Khattab in this regard is incorrect?

The noble verse: (Those who wait [for misfortune] to befall you. If you have a victory from Allah, they say, "Were we not with you?" But if the disbelievers have a share, they say, "Did we not gain mastery over you and protect you from the believers?" Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection, and never will Allah grant the disbelievers a way over the believers) clarifies that the dominance of disbelievers over Muslims throughout history does not contradict it, for several reasons:

1. The verse indicates that the condition of faith was not met during periods of disbeliever dominance. The aggression is commensurate with the deficiency in faith. 2. The verse does not speak of worldly events but of the Day of Resurrection, when the disbelievers will have no argument against the believers. 3. The verse negates the complete annihilation of believers by disbeliever dominance, not merely partial harm. 4. The verse is a legal ruling that commands believers not to enable disbelievers to dominate them.

These statements confirm that a Muslim should not rush to understand the verses of the Quran without referring to the sayings of the people of knowledge. Islam calls for striving to change the condition of Muslims through knowledge, unity, righteous deeds, and the fear of Allah.
