Is it permissible to hang clean, wet clothes on a dry rope that was previously used to hang ritually impure clothes, especially if the rope is inside the house and not regularly exposed to the sun?

There is no harm in acting upon the opinion that permits hanging pure clothes on a clothesline where impure clothes have been hung, even if the line has dried by wind or other means. This is an opinion attributed to Ahmad and chosen by Ibn Taymiyyah. It is permissible for those afflicted with obsessive doubts to adopt this opinion to alleviate hardship.
