What is the ruling on working in commercial insurance companies and on the money earned from it, especially after a previous fatwa permitting it, and given the current difficulty of leaving this job?

The money earned from previously forbidden work, when you were unaware of its prohibition, is permissible to benefit from. However, now you must leave this work, and it is not permissible to remain in it except out of dire necessity, while diligently seeking a permissible source of income. And remember the words of Allah Almighty: "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decree] measure."
