What is the ruling on an employee's commitment, upon contracting, not to disclose company secrets if he will work in the same field after leaving the company?

It is not permissible for someone entrusted with a company's secret to disclose it, whether they are still working there or have left; such disclosure is a betrayal. However, there is no harm in them benefiting from the practical and scientific expertise they have acquired.
