The answer

Disclosing company secrets is a betrayal of trust, unless it involves restoring a right or repelling injustice. The questioner must support the two contending companies by helping the first reclaim its right from the second, and preventing the second from continuing its injustice. He must also remind the officials in the new company of the gravity of consuming wealth unjustly, citing the noble verses that prohibit it, such as His (the Almighty's) saying: "And do not consume your properties among yourselves through falsehood," and His (the Almighty's) saying: "O you who have believed, do not consume one another's properties unjustly but only [in lawful] trade by mutual consent." Disclosing a secret may be obligatory or permissible if it entails a predominant benefit.
