If the heart becomes attached to a religious girl, then we advise marrying her, for nothing like marriage has been seen for those who love each other, and it is the greatest remedy for treating infatuation. However, if marrying her is impossible, then you must cut off your relationship with her and divert your thoughts from her. A righteous wife will not prevent you from marrying a second wife, knowing that it is your right by Islamic law. You should be gentle with her and just between the two wives, and provide a separate dwelling for the second wife if the first wife does not agree to live with her.
