Is it permissible for a girl to marry a man while she is in love with another religious man whom her family does not approve of?

We advise someone in this situation to fear Allah and not translate this love into something forbidden. It is not permissible to establish a relationship with a man other than a marital relationship. There is no religious impediment to seeking marriage with the one you love if he possesses good character and religiosity, by gaining the approval of her guardians. If the desired outcome is not achieved, and the man prepared by her family has no impediment to marrying him, except that she does not incline towards him, then it is better to agree to marry him. He might be better than the one she thinks is superior, for Allah says: "And perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you."
