Is it obligatory to destroy clothes that have cartoon images that cannot be removed, or is it permissible to send them to needy relatives in another country, and would the sender and receiver be sinful if they were used or sold?

Garments with forbidden images should not be destroyed. Rather, the images should be effaced by concealing them or removing their heads. If that is not possible, they can be used in ways that involve their degradation, such as for pillows. A number of scholars, such as Sheikh Ibn Baz and Ibn Uthaymeen, have favored the prohibition of wearing these garments. It is worth noting that there is a significant difference of opinion among scholars: the majority of them dislike wearing them but do not deem it forbidden, and some do not prohibit it but rather dislike it.
