What is the ruling on sleeping with the intention of having a wet dream (and hugging a pillow)?
Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing." And sleeping in this manner with this intention is a step from the footsteps of Satan, and abstaining from that is obligatory. And the Muslim must strive to get married if his soul longs for it, and if he is unable, then he must fast and remain chaste. And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O young men, whoever among you can afford marriage, let him marry, for it is more conducive to lowering the gaze and protecting chastity. And whoever cannot afford it, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him."
