Is it forbidden or permissible to keep anime pictures or design with them, especially if the pictures do not violate Islamic law?

It is forbidden to design images of animate beings and to keep them on computers, with the exception of those specifically for children, intended to teach them virtue and Islamic manners, provided they are free from unlawful elements.
