What are the causes of feeling suffocation, tremors, dry mouth, and constant thoughts about death, the Day of Judgment, and life after death, in addition to feelings of guilt, continuous forgetfulness, and pain in the back and neck, and how can one get rid of nightmares, and are they related to these symptoms?
This worldly life is insignificant and a deceptive enjoyment, whereas the Hereafter is the abode of everlasting settlement. Do not indulge in this line of thinking, as it may lead to dire consequences. There is no harm in seeking help from someone knowledgeable about psychological illnesses. Nothing afflicts a believer but good. If prosperity befalls him, he is grateful, and that is good for him. And if adversity befalls him, he is patient, and that is good for him. For every affliction that befalls a Muslim, Allah expiates sins for him, even a mere thorn.
