Is the prayer of a traveler, leading resident worshippers, valid if he prays two raka'at and the residents complete their prayer after him?

If you depart from Mecca intending a journey of 83 km or more, you are considered a traveler as soon as you leave the buildings of Mecca, and it is permissible for you to shorten prayers (qasr) at Jeddah airport. Your leading of prayer for residents (muqeemoon) is permissible and valid. The jurists have agreed on the permissibility of a resident following a traveler in prayer, and no valid religious prohibition against this has been established, even though some scholars consider it a minor disliking (karahah tanzihiyyah). The more correct view is that it is not disliked, unless there is a ruler or his deputy among them, as he has a greater right to lead the prayer.
