Is ghusl obligatory for one who has intercourse with his wife anally?

It is forbidden to have anal intercourse with a woman. Both the one who performs anal intercourse and the one upon whom it is performed must perform (ritual bath) if it occurs. This is the view of the majority of scholars. Penetration into the vagina or anus of a woman, or the anus of a man, or the anus or vagina of an animal necessitates ghusl, even if there is no ejaculation. This applies whether the orifice is a front or back passage, and whether it is with a human or an animal, alive or dead, willingly or by coercion, while asleep or awake.
