Is it correct to rely on intercession and abandon action?

If reliance on intercession means abandoning acts of worship and committing forbidden acts, then it is incorrect, because intercession is restricted to those for whom Allah is pleased to intercede, as stated in His Almighty قول: "And they do not intercede except for whom He approves" and "Intercession will not benefit with Him except for he whom He permits." The servant must fear Allah and adhere to His commands and prohibitions. Some disobedient individuals may benefit from intercession, while others must certainly endure punishment to fulfill Allah's attributes of being swift in punishment and severe in punishment, in addition to being Forgiving and Merciful.
