Do the sins of harassment, sodomy, and frequent masturbation prevent a person's repentance and lead to worldly punishments and trials, and can these acts be linked to familial trials?

If a servant repents sincerely, Allah accepts their repentance. The sins you are committing, such as masturbation, must be repented for and abandoned immediately. Calamities may be due to sins or for other reasons. We advise you to sincerely repent to Allah, adhere to His law, preserve the obligatory prayers, increase in supererogatory acts, do good deeds, and avoid prohibitions. For good deeds erase bad deeds, and the one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin. Strive against yourself and Satan, and whenever you sin, turn in repentance to your Lord, for Allah accepts the repentance of His servant as long as they turn to Him.
