Does quarreling with a younger sister prevent the answer to supplication?
The womb (kinship ties) has a great significance, and Allah Almighty has commanded to maintain it and prohibited severing it. It is not permissible for Muslims to forsake one another for more than three days except for a religious reason, unless maintaining the relationship involves harm. The sanctity of abandonment ceases with greeting (saying as-salamu alaykum). Therefore, it is not permissible for you to sever ties with your sister. It is better to pardon, forgive, and overlook her mistakes, while advising her gently or through one of her mahrams (unmarriageable relatives) about the necessity of respecting the elder brother. If you both persist in the forbidden severance, it may be a hindrance to the acceptance of your supplications.
