What is the ruling on working as a stagehand in an opera house/theater in Austria, given that the actors and actresses are non-Muslims and the worker has no other job?

The acting performed by male and female actors on stage involves many prohibited elements, thus it is forbidden to do it and to assist in it, due to the Almighty's saying: ﴿And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression﴾ [Al-Ma'idah: 2].

It is obligatory to abandon this work, due to the Almighty's saying: ﴿And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect﴾ [At-Talaq: 2-3].

It is permissible to continue in the work if no other source of income is available and the dependent suffers harm, while striving to search for another job, and getting rid of surplus money beyond need by spending it on charitable causes.
