What is the ruling regarding agricultural land described as a "perpetual endowment" (waqf qari), for the cultivation of which it is stipulated that three parts (ajza') of the Qur'an be recited daily after Asr prayer in the mosque? And should the recitation be divided among multiple investors? Is it permissible for someone who only masters specific parts to recite? Is recitation outside the mosque acceptable? And is it permissible for a woman to recite in her home?

Waqf is the detention of the asset while allowing its usufruct to be spent (for charitable purposes), and the condition set by the endower is binding as long as it does not contravene Islamic law. The condition that the beneficiary of the waqf recite three parts of the Qur’an after the 'Asr prayer in the mosque is a matter of scholarly disagreement. Some have prohibited it, considering it a wage for reciting the Qur’an, while others have permitted it and deemed it obligatory to act upon. The investor must observe the condition set by the endower, and it is permissible for him to repeat the parts he has memorized. However, a woman reciting in her home is not valid as it contravenes the endower's condition. If a group shares in the investment, each one of them must recite the three parts; it is not permissible to distribute them among themselves.
