How can one awaken the heart to obedience, despite the questioner's knowledge of the Sunnah and failure to act upon it, and their feeling of hypocrisy due to enjoining good without practicing it themselves?

Knowledge precedes action, as stated in the Almighty's words: "So know that there is no god except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin." Al-Bukhari titled a chapter "Knowledge before speech and action." The tenderness of the heart and the fear of Allah Almighty are the fruits of striving against oneself and Satan, as confirmed by the Almighty's saying: "And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good." Therefore, strive to purify your heart from sins and adorn it with acts of obedience so that your heart may soften, your soul may ascend, and you may adhere strictly to the limits set by Allah.
