Will Allah conceal my sins as He has done before, and what should I do for sincere repentance? Should I delete everything that connects me to the young man and close my Facebook page? Will I be held accountable for following him or longing for him? Does using Facebook under another name merely for entertainment contradict sincere repentance?

One must hasten to repent to Allah by immediately severing the relationship, abandoning the sin, feeling remorse, resolving never to return to it, avoiding the causes of disobedience, deleting messages and pictures, closing one's Facebook account, carefully guarding one's thoughts, and occupying one's time with beneficial deeds. For the tranquility of the soul and the peace of the heart are found in obedience to Allah and in drawing near to Him. It is permissible for a woman to offer herself in marriage to a righteous man, in accordance with the proper guidelines and etiquette.
