The answer

The husband should have followed the legitimate methods of reconciliation with the disobedient wife instead of informing her family. If the wife apologizes and wishes to live together amicably, her apology should be accepted, she should be brought back home, and they should live together amicably. Her family's wrongdoing should not be held against her, and she can be prevented from visiting them if the husband fears their harm. Divorce is not recommended except after all means of reconciliation have failed. If the couple can continue living together amicably, even by overlooking some mistakes and compromising on some rights, that would be better than separation. If the husband wishes to divorce her, he is not wronging her if he pays her dues.
