What should a wife do with her husband whose behavior changed a week after marriage, who wants a divorce after two months, and who appears to have married her only for the purpose of sexual intercourse?

Marriage has great legitimate purposes and is not built on love alone, so a husband should not divorce his wife merely for lack of love, for hearts change.

First, it is advised to supplicate by saying: "O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not entrust me to my soul for the blink of an eye, and correct all my affairs for me; there is no god but You."

Second: One should search for the reasons for the estrangement and address them, whether due to misunderstanding or through Ruqyah (definition) if there is sorcery, and by involving wise people for reconciliation. If reconciliation is not achieved, then separation should be with kindness, in fulfillment of Allah's saying: "But if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each [of them] from His abundance. And Allah is ever Encompassing and Wise." And "It is not permissible for a woman to leave her husband's house except for a legitimate reason, such as fear of his harm."
