Is a woman allowed to prevent her husband's sister from entering her home due to the latter's creation of problems, given the husband's refusal of this on the grounds of cutting off family ties and disrespecting parents?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
If the husband permits his sister to enter his home, his wife does not have the right to prevent her. However, she may prevent her from entering private areas. It is advisable to meet the sister-in-law's misbehavior with kindness and overlook it. The sister-in-law is also advised to fear Allah and not be a cause of conflict.
