The question

Does a divorce become an irrevocable or a revocable one if a man, while angry, says to his wife: "You are triply divorced," and can she be taken back after the 'iddah (waiting period) ends, with a new contract and a new mahr (dowry)?

The answer

The divorce of an angry person who does not know what he is saying is not valid and has no consequences, and the wife does not need to be taken back. As for taking back a divorced woman after the first or second divorce during her waiting period ('), it occurs without a contract, a dowry, or her consent. After the 'iddah expires, it requires a new contract and dowry. After the third divorce, there is no return until she marries another husband. The wife's statement that she will only return after the 'iddah expires and with a new contract and dowry gives her no option, and if she refuses, she is considered disobedient (nashiz).
