Does my wife become Islamically divorced from me and is a new marriage contract binding upon me after the period of doubt I experienced in my religion, followed by my return to certainty?

A feeling of doubt in religion can reach the point of apostasy, especially if there is no firm conviction in the truth of Islam, which immediately invalidates the marriage contract. Certainty is a fundamental condition for the acceptance of the declaration of Tawhid (definition) (monotheism), as stated in the Almighty's قول (statement): "The believers are only those who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then have not doubted." The repentance of one who doubts is by uttering the two testimonies of faith with firm certainty. However, if these doubts are merely whispers (waswas) and have been overcome, then they do not amount to apostasy.
