Is a woman entitled to seek divorce from her husband if she feels lonely and misunderstood by him, especially if she lives in a foreign country and has no children?

A woman is permitted to seek divorce due to harm, but she should not rush into it, especially if there is no impediment to childbearing; the spouses should come to an understanding on this matter. Marital life can continue without love, as Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "Homes are not built on love alone." There are other interests that may necessitate the continuation of the marriage. A woman should be patient and attempt reconciliation, especially if she does not know where she would go if her husband were to divorce her.
