Is it permissible for a judge to prevent polygyny judicially, in accordance with the prevailing law, and what is the ruling on annulling a second marriage contract that the law considers void while it is valid Islamically, bearing in mind that a judge's defiance of the law may lead to his dismissal from his position?

Allah Almighty commanded us to implement His Book and forbade following whims. Whoever knows Allah's ruling is not permitted to deviate from it, whether for himself or for issuing fatwas and judgments. Allah permitted polygyny up to four wives, and invalidating a second marriage contract by prohibiting what Allah has made lawful is considered disbelief (kufr). Whoever abandons the ruling of Allah and His Messenger and follows the ruling of another that contradicts it becomes an apostate disbeliever. He must be patient in the face of harm in the way of Allah. Thus, the judge, the scholar, and the mufti (definition) must speak the truth and clarify it, even if it leads to their dismissal.
