Is it permissible to announce a marriage in the mosque two days before the marriage contract, in the presence of only the male relatives of both spouses?

If the intention behind publicizing a marriage in the mosque is to hold a party or a banquet that entails raising voices or engaging in conversations that are contrary to the function of the mosque, or what typically accompanies parties such as dancing and singing, then this is not permissible in the mosque, because merely raising one's voice in it is disliked (makruh (definition)). However, if the intention is simply to conduct the marriage contract, some scholars have deemed it desirable (mustahabb), while others have permitted it. It is obligatory to keep the mosque free from such matters, as it is a place of worship.
