The answer

If the proposal (Ijab) is made by the woman's guardian (wali) and the acceptance (Qubool) is made by the suitor in the presence of two witnesses, and the woman is eligible for marriage, then the marriage contract is valid according to Islamic law (), even if it does not take place in court or in the presence of the judge (Qadi), the authorized marriage officiant (Ma'thun), or the Imam of the mosque.
