What is the ruling on Umrah that was not completed in its entirety by Say, and does that affect the validity of contracts that followed it, such as engagement and marriage, and what should be done now and in the future?

The Sa'y (ritual circumambulation between Safa and Marwah) is a pillar of 'Umrah (definition), without which it is not valid. Therefore, whoever performs 'Umrah but does not perform Sa'y, and was an adult and accountable, remains in a state of ihram (definition). It is obligatory for him to return, perform Sa'y, and then shorten his hair.

As for a minor, his ihram is not binding, and if he breaks his ihram without completing it, there is no sin upon him.

So, if the 'Umrah mentioned was performed before puberty, there is nothing upon the questioner. However, if it was after puberty, and she subsequently performed a complete 'Umrah, then her ihram for the second 'Umrah is considered void because she was already in a state of ihram. In this case, the Sa'y and shortening of hair from the second 'Umrah are transferred to the first 'Umrah, and her obligation is fulfilled thereby.

And if the marriage contract was concluded after the valid 'Umrah, then it is valid.
