What is the Sunnah method for engagement and marriage, taking into consideration comfortable financial circumstances and the desire to economize for the purpose of 'Umrah?

The lawful method for engagement and marriage is for the man to look at the woman; if she pleases him, he proposes to her; otherwise, he leaves her. After the marriage contract, a celebration is held to publicize it, with the beating of drums (duff) and singing free from indecency. The wedding feast (walimah (definition)) is a Sunnah (definition), and it is best for it to be with a sheep for those who are able. It is sufficient to invite relatives and friends without extravagance or excessive spending. Umrah (definition) is obligatory once in a lifetime for those who are able, and it is not permissible to spend money on an elaborate wedding feast if that affects the performance of the obligatory Umrah.
