Does divorce occur if one apologizes for the committee, or if it is reformed, after having sworn by divorce to leave the work if one departs from it?

The reference for understanding the intent behind an oath is your intention and the reason for taking the oath. If you intended not to run when you left the committee, then you would not violate your oath if you later nominated yourself and then withdrew. And if you intended for the oath to apply to a committee for a specific year, then the oath does not include committees for future years. "Indeed, for every person is what he intended"; intention is the basis of oaths. If there was no intention, then the motivating reason for the oath serves as evidence of intention. Our fatwa (definition) regarding an oath of divorce is that divorce occurs thereby, in contrast to some scholars who view it as an expiation for an oath. And know that swearing by divorce is not a characteristic of the people of faith.
