The question

Is a wife entitled to refuse marital intimacy and childbearing from her husband, despite her contributing to household expenses and her refusal of her husband's request for her to stop working? And is she entitled to demand an independent home, knowing that she agreed to live with his family before marriage and was aware of his financial situation?

The answer

A stable marital life requires mutual understanding and respect between the spouses, and for each to fulfill their duties and rights. It is the husband's right that his wife respond to him in bed whenever he calls her, and that she not refuse procreation unless there is a legitimate reason. Her financial support is not an excuse to refuse. The husband has the right to prevent his wife from working, or to allow her to work in exchange for a portion of her salary, and she must fulfill this condition; otherwise, he may prevent her from working. He may also prevent her from leaving the house without his permission unless it is out of necessity. If the husband stipulates that his wife live with his family and she agrees, she may not refuse unless there is verifiable harm.
