The answer

If the organization defends people's rights guaranteed by Islamic law, and resists torture and harm without just cause, then participation in it is commendable for realizing the intent of the in giving every rightful person their due and in revering God's sanctities. This is based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "They never ask me for a plan in which they glorify the sanctities of Allah except that I accept it from them." However, if it grants rights not sanctioned by Islamic law or contradicts what the Messenger brought, then it is not permissible to work with it or participate in it.
