What should I do if I owe seven days of Ramadan and cannot fast them due to illness?

Whoever misses days in due to a legitimate excuse must make them up after Ramadan if their excuse is no longer valid. If someone is ill with an illness from which there is no hope of recovery, then they must feed a poor person for each day, one mudd of food.
