Whoever has intercourse with his wife during the daytime in must offer a weighty expiation in sequence: first, emancipating a slave; if unable, then fasting for two consecutive months; if unable, then feeding sixty needy people. It is not permissible to move to feeding if one is able to fast. The one who is fed must be needy, so it is not permissible to randomly feed travelers unless their poverty is known. A trusted entity can be authorized to carry out the feeding.
