The answer

Severe, unbearable headaches are considered an illness that permits breaking the fast. The sister who asked the question may break her fast until she recovers from the headache. She is not obligated to pay the expiation for delaying if arrives and she has not completed the make-up fast due to the excuse. She must make up the days she missed whenever she recovers, and expiation does not suffice for making up the fasts as long as she is not afflicted with a chronic illness.
