The answer

Drinking Zamzam water is not obligatory; rather, it is supererogatory at any time. It is recommended to drink from it until one is full (al-tadallu'), and to supplicate with any lawful prayers, intending healing, forgiveness, or other matters of this world and the hereafter. If a fasting person performs ', there is no harm in them not drinking from Zamzam and delaying drinking until after breaking their fast. It is permissible for a traveler to break their fast or to fast, and it is best to choose what is easier for them. If fasting is difficult for them, then breaking the fast is preferable, especially during 'Umrah which requires activity. If fasting affects the performance of 'Umrah, then it is better to break the fast and make up that day later.
