What is the ruling on celebrating the first day of fasting for a son or daughter, and is it permissible to attend these feasts and eat from them? What is the idea behind breakfast parties with invitations to people? And what is the ruling on completing the recitation of the Qur’an and distributing sweets in mosques on the 27th night?

There is no harm in the family celebrating a boy's first fast one time as an expression of joy and encouragement for him. Gathering for (breaking the fast) is permissible and commendable if it is for a legitimate purpose, such as fostering affection and feeding people. The night of the twenty-seventh of is among the nights hoped for Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), but it is not definitively fixed, and singling it out for a Quranic recitation (khatm) or distributing sweets has no basis.
