The answer

If anything from theak's water or the antiseptic substance added to it reaches the pharynx, the fasting person breaks their fast. Many of the Salaf disliked the wet siwak for a fasting person, fearing that some of its water might be swallowed. Imam An-Nawawi said: "If one uses a wet siwak and some of its moisture or fragmented wood detaches and is swallowed, their fast is broken without dispute."
