The answer

Some opinions suggest that the entry of water into the anus breaks the fast, and this applies specifically to one who does so intentionally. However, if it is done forgetfully or under duress, it does not break the fast, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Verily, Allah has pardoned for my Ummah their mistakes, their forgetfulness, and what they are forced to do," and Abu Hurairah's : "Whoever forgets while he is fasting and eats or drinks, let him complete his fast, for verily it was Allah who fed him and gave him to drink." The one who forgets and the one who is forced are excused, and this is the of Abu Hanifa and Al-Shafi'i.
