Is giving an iftar meal, taken from the workplace, to a needy person considered breaking a fasting person's fast?

If you fully own an iftar (definition) meal, you will receive the reward of feeding a fasting person if you give it to someone who breaks their fast with it. The reward increases if you are in need of the food yourself. This is confirmed by the actions of the Salaf, who would gift what was given to them in charity to others, and by what is stated in the Sunnah (definition): that the owner of something is free to dispose of it as they wish. This is exemplified by the story of Barirah and Nusaybah al-Ansariyyah with the charity meat, from which they gifted some to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Ibn Hajar stated that it is permissible for the poor person who has been given charity to dispose of it through sale or gift. All the rewards you earn through this action, the first person who gave you ownership of the meal will receive the like of them, without diminishing your reward in any way.
